HAILY + TYLER AT BONNIE BLUES
An engagement party, a chilly session at Loveland Pass, and a September wedding full of color, laughter, sunset light, and one very committed dance floor.
WE KNEW THEIR STORY BEFORE THE WEDDING DAY.
Haily and Tyler’s wedding was not our first time photographing them. We started with their engagement party, then met them again in the mountains for an engagement session at Loveland Pass. It was chilly, the trail took a little effort, and the view was worth every step.
By the time we arrived at Bonnie Blues, we were not starting from zero. We already knew how they moved together, how easily they laughed, and how much energy their people brought into the room.
DRONE LIGHT, GETTING READY, AND FOOTBALL IN THE GROOM’S ROOM.
We started with drone flights while the property was still settling into the morning. Then we moved between the bridal room, where Haily was getting ready with her mom and the girls, and the groom’s room, where the guys were doing what guys often do before a wedding: watching football and playing golf.
Bonnie Blues makes that rhythm easy. The spaces sit close together, but the layout still gives each side room to have its own morning without accidentally crossing paths.
HOT SUN, BIG COLOR, AND A VERY HAPPY WALK BACK UP THE AISLE.
The ceremony was warm, but it never felt flat. The timber pavilion, the open Colorado sky, and a bouquet packed with color gave us a lot to work with. When Haily and Tyler came back up the aisle, the celebration was already written all over their faces.
THE FULL DAY, IN MOTION.
The photographs hold individual moments. The film brings back the movement, the voices, the pace, and the full personality of the day.
THE THINGS THAT MADE IT THEIRS.
A Champagne Tower
A celebratory pour and a champagne wedding license moment that fit the energy of the day.
A Surprise During the Speeches
A congratulatory video featuring Donald Trump appeared during the speeches. We never got the full backstory, but the room’s reaction was unforgettable.
A Custom Tesla
Their tricked out Tesla added one more personal detail to the end of the night.
Happy Meals After Dark
McDonald’s Happy Meals arrived later in the evening for everyone. It was funny, practical, and exactly the kind of late night choice people remember.
FROM THE PAVILION TO THE FIELD AT SUNSET.
The open field at Bonnie Blues gave us room to slow down after the ceremony. We made the bright, architectural portrait first, then moved into softer light as the evening settled in.
THE DANCE FLOOR DID NOT NEED ANY HELP.
The soundtrack worked, the guests were ready, and the dance floor stayed full. We loved the mix of big group energy and small moments happening under the string lights.
That is the part of the story a highlight film carries so well. You can see the portraits, but you can also feel how the night moved.
QUICK ANSWERS.

Bonnie Blues is in Elizabeth, Colorado. Its ceremony, getting ready, portrait, and reception spaces are close enough for an efficient wedding day while still giving each part of the day its own setting.
Did Emberlight Media provide both photography and videography?
Yes. We photographed the wedding and created the highlight film, which let us tell the day through both still photographs and motion.
